What is Inventor?
Inventor is a computer-aided design software, otherwise known as CAD. Inventor is used to take your 2D design sketches and make them into 3D designs that can be printed on a 3D printer. Inventor has a wide range of tools spanning from blueprints to 3D assemblies.

First, I sketched out the widgets to scale on isometric graph paper.

3D Printmaking in Makerbot
I had uploaded my inventor file to Makerbot. Once it was in Makerbot I had to scale the widget and rotate it to have the largest side facing down, also so that the overhangs were limited.

Conclusion
Throughout the time of working on 3D printers and inventor I managed to learn about another CAD software that you can use to 3D model objects. This was TinkerCAD I was using it as an alternative to Inventor because I couldn't install Inventor. It was kind of nice to learn about how to use another software considering I have used Inventor several times before taking this class. I also learned how to use the Makerbot software so that I could convert a 3D model into a file to be successfully printed from a 3D printer.(Continue after print)
